Where does meaning reside? Let’s talk about it!

In a post-modern world, meaning is a slippery slope. As the culture struggles to define meaning including the question of where meaning resides, in the intent of the author as expressed in the text or in the community of readers, the church too struggles as the culture impacts the church. In our first course this Fall at the Grace Bible Institute, we will examine this major philosophical question. We will spend time first examining the discipline of meaning. All of us have presuppositions when we approach the Bible and we need to recognize these presuppositions before we can observe and interpret the text. Come join us for Bible Study Methods and together we will learn the important elements of Bible study. In this collaborative effort we will learn how to interpret God’s word and how to communicate what we learn within the ministries of the local church.
